More eye updates!

Hi hunnybees! So about two weeks ago we went back to the retina specialist's for a follow up after my eye injection. Surprisingly the waiting room wasn't that full so we weren't there as long as last time. There also weren't any weird old people. DARN!!! So there was really no funny things happening in there. Well on to the eye stuff. I could see more letters than before when they performed the tests even though I didn't feel like I could see any better than before the eye injection. When we went to wait for my pupils to dilate my mom started talking to this old lady in the second waiting room. She called my daddy cute hahaha.

Well when we finally go to see the doctor he said that the bleeding behind my eye has stopped a lot but it hasn't stopped completely and he'd like to do another injection.
Another one??!!
After the first experience being so traumatic I really didn't want to go through it again and figured after the first time it would be over. But I wanted to be tough and really wanted to get it over with so I told him ok and he did it right there in the office. No anesthesia, just a million numbing drops. It actually wasn't that bad. He told me to look at the nurse and stuck the needle in and it was over. Very quick and painless. I only felt the pressure of it.

The whole way home I kept my eyes closed and laid on my grandma. When we got home I saw it. My eye had a broken blood vessel in it. UGHHHHH!!!!!!! That really got me upset. I felt like it was one thing after another with this eye thing. I wished all of it just never happened because it started really making me miserable. I hate wondering if it's going to be okay now or if it's gonna get worse and I never see out this eye again. Even worse I knew I had to go to school the next day and I knew how everyone would be.

I was right of course. I got a million, "What happened to your eye?", "Did it hurt?", "Are you okay?", "YOU GOT SHOT IN YOUR EYE?! ".
smh

This went on until it finally went away. It took like two weeks. It sucked cause I was over it and everybody was still talking about it. Sometimes I'd even forget it was there...until they reminded me. Now it is gone so I can go on with my life and talk to people and know they aren't just staring at my eye. It's weird. Some people were freaked out by it and some people thought it was cool. Go figure. Most of the people freaked out by it were boys. Anyways it hasn't made my eyesight any better that I can tell but it hasn't gotten any worse. Hopefully this will be my last injection. My next appointment is march 28th so we'll see. Hoping for good news.

On a lighter note, my grandma is having her 60th birthday party and it's going to be 70's themed. I can't wait. I'm a hippie at heart so I love the idea and I already know how I'm going to dress up. I'll have tons of pictures, maybe a video, and definitely will be giving you the rundown in a blogpost. It's April 14th so be waiting for it.
